Loading ...Austin and I went to Capilano College on Tuesday to present “Networking 101″. It was an excellent presentation and I think the students got a lot of it. The most important thing we covered, as far as I’m concerned, is creating an effective elevator pitch. This is something I learned from the Investor Ready seminar put on by the Angel Forum and it is still some of the best advice I have ever received. We cover the basics in the presentation, but here is mine as an example:
“Hi, I’m Stephen Joyce, President of Sentias Software Corp. developers of Rezgo.com, the powerfully simple reservation system designed for sme tour operators. We’re making it easy for tour operators to accept bookings on the Internet.”
