Yesterday we launched the Karma Exchange at the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce Connections Simplified breakfast. It was a hit! We had a turn out of 57 people and we were able to combine the business introduction portion with a real life Karma Exchange simulation. Each person in the group stood up and gave their intro and then had to say one nice thing about the person on their right. It was a great little exercise in positive thinking because, I think, the media has trained us to look at the flaws in people first.

The overall reaction has been positive from all the people that were there. We even got a physical token (in the form of a glossy 8×10) signed by everyone that was there. We call it “Karma Token #1. I also received a very good reaction from my friend Nancy Forrest at the YMCA who came to the breakfast. I wanted to publicly acknowledge our commitment to support the YMCA as our charity of record for the first year of the Karma Exchange. I hope that in twelve months we will be able to write a nice cheque to the Y for 50% of the net profits from the Google Ad revenue. What a wonderful way to end the year if Sentias could do that.

In the meantime, I hope you visit the Karma Exchange and try it out. We’re really proud of the site and the philosophy behind it and hope that it gets used to do some good.
