As a society, we have become so suspicious of others and so guarded that we approach every initial introduction with caution and potential hostility. I’ve discovered that if you start every first time meeting with a kind word I generally get a positive response and I can ease the other person’s tensions. I finally found a site that mentions both travel and web 2.0 in the same article: “In the world of travel, disparate data from direct sources, travel agents and intermediaries made it nearly impossible to find the best price or options for an itinerary. Is Web 2.0 just Crap 2.0?
When I started this business, I was pretty clear that I was not going to make the same mistakes as so many technology companies before us. I worked hard to make sure the products we built were solid, well tested, properly documented, and packaged. In a lot of ways, I have sacrificed significant market position by ensuring that what we delivered was well built and complete. What I am discovering is that the hype machine is starting to take over again. New Location, New Opportunities
Well, we have officially been in our new space for two weeks. The new location is in a heritage building on the corner of Lonsdale and 1st, about two blocks away from our previous building. Although the building is almost a hundred years old, the unit is in very good shape. It is a little chilly at times because of the lack of a centralized heating system, but we can get around that. The layout is excellent and the ability to work in semi-privacy really helps focus effort and concentration.
